A thank you note

Hình ảnh
Thank you so much for your blog birthday wishes - and how great to get to know you a bit! Having a blog is so one-sided, so it's nice to hear from you like that. Thanks also for the music tips, so much to check out... It's about time my ears heard some new tunes. Happy Easter/Holidays to you all! I'll be back soon with some more Lomo pix. Laters.

My Funny Eye = 5

The blog turned five last week, can you believe it?! Whoah. What can I say? Well, for starters, I can't thank you enough for taking the time and stopping by here in my little space, for the feedback and comments and hellos. It's been so much fun to have somewhere where I can post my pictures and write a few words.  Now, I'd like to ask you a favour. Tell me a little about yourself (age/where you live/whaddyado) - it's been a while since I did this (or did I ever? I can't remember - five years is a long time). If you want to know more about me here's the Q&A we did here a while back. Also, another favour if you don't mind... One of my New Year's resolutions this year was to listen to more new (or new to me) music, and I'm not doing too well on that front. What is your favourite album or song right now? Mine is this ; and it's from three years ago (but newish to me!). It makes me feel like a champ when I listen to it while I run - ha!  Anyway

More pictures from last weekend; meeting up with friends and sheltering from the cold in Tate Modern and at the Barbican. Both places work well as indoor playgrounds ;)

Toddler OCD | Wordy Wordless Wednesday

Cars Turned In The Same Direction ... Always! I know this is Wordless Wednesday, but I am wondering if your 2 year old does this, too? This picture was taken a few weeks ago when I noticed that he was walking the cars over and facing them in the same direction. He has since graduated to lining the cars up against the wall with the fronts facing outwards or directly beside each other on the

2 years, 2 months, 23 days | Our Toddler Is Loving, Playful, Smart | Not Sleeping All Night

Our baby is now 2 years, 4 months and 23 days old. This is an incredible time in our lives. Our toddler is a busy little 2 year old boy that consistently demands that we understand he's a person capable of thinking on his own. The best part of it all is that he starting to share new talents with us. This makes 2 years old such beautiful stage and makes me appreciate life so much more. He

A visual blah blah blah

Finally got out this weekend, after a long week of being housebound. On Saturday a friend and I went to see the Becoming Picasso exhibition at the Courtauld Gallery , which was very small and very good. If you're in town, I recommend you go - and the rest of the gallery is pretty great too. The rest of the day was spent eating, looking round in shops and trying on stupid amounts of clothes. A good day :)

Outtakes XVII

Had a clean-up at my desktop the other night, and as per usual I found some folders of pictures that I had gathered to post here, but never got round to. These are all from last year. I don't know about you, but this week has not been a stellar one... The boys are both ill, spring has sprung off somewhere else and news (supposedly good) aren't forthcoming about our new house.  This clip with the coolest 6-year old girl ever is lifting my spirits no end though (via DosFamily ). As are these breakdancing teenagers . Come on March, I'm counting on you to be good!

A Mother's Day morning

Hình ảnh
I'm ashamed to say that in the past Mother's Day has never meant anything to me. I've lumped it together with my dislike of Christmas and Valentine's and any other annual date that's been commercially hijacked. Also, Mother's Day is on a different day in different countries, so with my own mum there's four dates to keep track of (Sweden, the UK, France and the Philippines), which is a lame excuse, I know. Anyway, yesterday I was at the receiving end of Mother's Day (oh yeah duuuh - I'm a mum now!) and my boy and my man treated with me with breakfast in bed and flowers (made by Oomoo). I also got a beautiful little Victorian locket necklace that made me well up when I saw what was inside. Awwww. And Mum, if you're reading this - I love you and miss you, and am so grateful for having you as my mum. I hope we get to see you soon! Puss!
