I don't know about you, but when I was last wearing trainers (about 15 years ago) I thought how great it would be if you could design your own. Well, as my feet are now nearly 37 years old, I can't just wear any old crappy shoe; my feet get sore . So I went on the Nike website to design my own pair of trainers (as the ones you buy off the shelf are heinous), and here's the funny thing - it was not as easy as I thought it would be. In fact it took me three evenings to get it right. But I think they turned out OK in the end and the soles of my feet are smiling.

We've become regulars at the Science Museum , in fact we go there once or twice a month. I wonder if Oomoo will become a scientist as a result?

Some pictures from an outing down to Tate Modern and Southbank a while back. I didn't bring my DSLR out with me for two months after I paused the blog, but suddenly it felt right to carry it again. It's funny how that happens; years ago when I quit my job as a music journalist I didn't listen to a single piece of music for three months. A kind of "absence makes the heart grow fonder" thing I guess :)

Why hello there! It's been quite a while, but I think I'm ready to have a go at this again... Thank you so  much for your incredibly nice comments on my last post all those months ago. You have no idea how much I appreciate your words of encouragement, it really means a lot to to me. I have struggled with how I feel about blogging for a long time, but without boring you with my thoughts about it, I think the best thing to do is to just get on with it. And to not think about it too much. Blogging should be something enjoyable, and pressing the shutter on a camera always makes me happy - so let's go, go, go!  Anyway....
